We are seeking a Technical Lead – Authentication Tech Lead (Identity and Access Management, IAM) to infuse the team with innovative ideas and daring solutions. This role delivers secure, appropriate, and timely access to enterprise resources and supports capabilities that help achieve and sustain our IAM strategy.ResponsibilitiesProvide technical leadership for the delivery and support of the company\'s 24/7 identity platforms and services, including day-to-day operations, incident management, change management and problem resolution related to IAM authentication services.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance, address risks, and enhance the IAM program. Align priorities with the Operation Manager, Service Leads and other Technical Leads.Lead and coach a team of identity operations engineers; recruit, hire and develop high-performing engineers; support career development and performance management.Foster a culture of innovation, continuous learning and operational discipline; promote diversity and inclusion within the team.Stay abreast of IAM technologies, security threats and regulatory changes; drive adoption of innovative solutions for global IAM challenges.Serve as technical lead and escalation point for team members; provide hands-on leadership during escalation, incidents and major changes.Oversee operational excellence: escalation handling, incident management, change management, problem resolution and continuous improvement to support 24/7 services.Monitor IAM authentication systems for performance and health; perform maintenance, respond to alerts, troubleshoot and restore services quickly.Manage and maintain all IAM components; keep systems up-to-date with patches and security updates; analyze performance metrics and implement improvements to reduce downtime.Document configurations, procedures and incident reports; provide regular status updates and reports to management.Coordinate with IT teams, developers and stakeholders to ensure seamless operation and effective communication of changes.Assess capacity and plan for future growth; allocate resources efficiently to meet demand.Provide technical support to users regarding Identity services and respond to audit and compliance requests related to Identity services.Develop and implement solutions to resolve identified problems; ensure testing and validation before deployment; perform root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in problem management.QualificationsBachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical field.5+ years of experience in supporting, delivering and securing Identity and Access Management services.5+ years of experience with Active Directory, Entra ID, and/or Okta.5+ years of experience with authentication and authorization technologies and federated identity standards and protocols (MFA, certificate-based auth, LDAP Kerberos, OAuth, SAML, OpenID Connect).Additional PreferencesExperience with IT service management (ITIL).Ability to collaborate with technical counterparts, leaders and stakeholders to deliver IAM solutions.Experience working with distributed and virtual teams.Strong critical thinking, analytical skills and thought leadership.Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to adapt messaging for diverse audiences.Understanding of common cloud-based services with experience in AWS and/or Azure; awareness of cloud platform security and controls.Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or similar.NotesLilly is committed to accessibility.
