Operating from our modern hospital facility on Dublin Road in Kilkenny city, along with two additional locations in Callan and Thomastown, we combine traditional veterinary values with contemporary medical practices to ensure the highest standards of care for all our patients.Role Description:This is a full-time, on-site role for a Practice Manager based in Kilkenny. The Practice Manager will oversee daily operations across all three locations: our main hospital on Dublin Road, Kilkenny, and our stores in Callan and Thomastown. Regular travel between sites is required, with mileage expenses fully covered.The Practice Manager will manage staff schedules, coordinate administrative tasks, and ensure the practice runs efficiently across all locations including reception managment duties. Responsibilities include budgeting, optimizing resource allocation, enhancing patient experience, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The role involves working closely with veterinary and administrative staff, as well as managing communications with external partners, vendors and clients.Qualifications:Strong organizational and administrative skills for managing daily practice operations, scheduling, and resource planning across multiple sitesExcellent communication skills for interacting with staff, clients, and practice partnersKnowledge of healthcare compliance and best practices in veterinary practice management is desiredLeadership and team management experience to supervise and motivate staffProblem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on improving operational efficiencyProficiency in using relevant software systems, including practice management and scheduling toolsClean, full driving licence required (travel between Kilkenny, Callan, and Thomastown locations with mileage expenses covered)Business Administration, or a related field preferredPrior experience in medical in veterinary practice management or healthcare administration is an advantage
