About the Role
HCS is seeking a Senior Modern Workplace Consultant to lead the design and delivery of Microsoft 365-based solutions across our customer base.
This is a senior, customer-facing consultancy role with responsibility for solution architecture, project delivery, and strategic advisory. The successful candidate will drive adoption of Microsoft Modern Workplace technologies, with a strong focus on Microsoft Copilot (AI enablement) and Microsoft Purview (data governance and compliance). You will work closely with customers to modernise their workplace environments, improve productivity, and ensure secure, compliant use of cloud technologies.
Key Responsibilities

Lead the design and delivery of Modern Workplace solutions across Microsoft 365
Act as a trusted advisor to customers on:

Microsoft Copilot adoption and readiness
Data governance and compliance using Microsoft Purview

Deliver end-to-end projects including:

Microsoft 365 migrations and tenant deployments
Intune and endpoint management rollouts
Copilot enablement and user adoption programmes

Design and implement identity and security controls:
Run customer workshops, assessments, and roadmap planning sessions
Support pre-sales activities including solution design and technical input
Produce high-quality technical documentation and handover materials
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to service development

Skills & Technical Expertise
Strong experience with Microsoft 365:

Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive

Expertise in Microsoft Intune and endpoint management
Advanced knowledge of Azure AD (Entra ID), identity, and access control
Experience implementing:

Microsoft Purview (DLP, Information Protection, compliance)

Strong understanding of:

Security frameworks and best practices

Experience with PowerShell automation (desirable)
Experience
7+ years’ experience in a Modern Workplace / Microsoft Cloud role
Experience in an MSP or professional services environment

Microsoft 365 transformation projects
Security and compliance initiatives
AI/Copilot or data governance programmes

Certifications (Desirable)

Microsoft Security Architect (SC-100)
Microsoft Security Operations Analyst (SC-200)
Identity and Access Administrator (SC-300)
Microsoft Information Security (SC-401)
Relevant Copilot / AI certifications (where applicable)
