To support the delivery of high-value projects and ensure robust contractual protections, we are seeking a Head of Legal Lawyer to join our team. This role is essential in managing the legal and commercial risks inherent in large-scale developments, ensuring that our agreements with contractors, funders, and public sector partners are clear, enforceable, and aligned with industry best practices. The successful candidate will play a key role in safeguarding the company’s interests while facilitating the timely and efficient execution of renewable energy projects.Please note, This is a hybrid role based at our Waterford office.Key AccountabilitiesContract Drafting & NegotiationDraft, review, and negotiate a wide range of construction contracts, including:FIDIC, RIAI, NEC, Public Works Contracts (PWC)Design & Build, EPC and Turnkey contractsConsultancy Agreements, Collateral Warranties, Performance Bonds, Parent Company Guarantees, and Letters of Intent.Provide clear contractual advice to project teams and stakeholders throughout project lifecycles.Advise on contract interpretation and risk allocation throughout the tender, contract negotiation, and delivery phases.Identify, assess, and advise on legal risks and liabilities relating to construction projects, including delays, defects, extensions of time, liquidated damages, and variations.Identify, assess and advise on all legal risks and liabilities in relation to all business plans of Greenvolt Next Ireland and UK.
