Location:Tullamore, Co.Offaly Working Hours:Monday-Friday 9am-6pm Medforce are seeking a qualified Person in Charge with experience in working with children, young adults, and challenging behaviour. Key Responsibilities: Shift Coordination:Plan and coordinate daily shifts and rostering arrangements within the unit. Supervision:Oversee Social Care Workers and ensure effective guidance and support for the team. Administrative Oversight:Manage all administrative procedures related to in-house cash and payroll. Child-Centered Care:Address the primary care needs of each young person and contribute to stimulating activity programs. Record Management:Maintain and update relevant records and files and provide written reports for reviews and case conferences. Safety and Advocacy:Ensure the rights and responsibilities of children are respected, preventing any forms of abuse, including bullying. Therapeutic Approach:Develop and maintain a therapeutic environment, focusing on individual and group work with young people and their families. Qualifications: Minimum 3 years experience working in a residential setting with children CORU Registered desirable Strong leadership and supervisory skills. Knowledge of child development, trauma-informed care, and risk management. Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external partners, including social work departments and healthcare providers. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
