We are seeking a highly motivated
Senior Technical Sales Engineer
to play a pivotal role in delivering advanced HVAC solutions for critical environments, with a strong focus on Data Centres and other mission-critical facilities.
This is a strategic role that combines technical expertise with commercial drive, requiring the ability to translate engineering knowledge into real value for clients.
You will collaborate closely with consultants, contractors, and key decision-makers across the Irish construction and data centre sectors, guiding projects from concept design through to contract award and supporting their full lifecycle.
The ideal candidate is motivated by exceeding customer expectations, developing long-term partnerships, and driving the adoption of high-performance solutions that keep essential operations running reliably.
Key Responsibilities:
Work extensively and collaboratively with Consulting Engineers and other construction stakeholders to deliver tailored solutions that address customer challenges.
Build and strengthen relationships with new and existing clients to develop a strong sales pipeline.
Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed revenue targets within your designated area.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities, particularly within the data centre and critical infrastructure markets.
Maintain a strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems, product offerings, and applications to effectively position solutions in the marketplace.
Review customer drawings and specifications to prepare accurate and competitive proposals.
Manage quotation timelines, negotiations, and project capture to secure new business.
Deliver professional, customer-focused presentations that showcase technical and commercial value.
Maintain accurate customer information in the company CRM and provide timely reporting on sales activity, pipeline, and forecasts.
Actively contribute to local and wider sales team initiatives, sharing expertise and supporting collective growth.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years' proven track record in
HVAC technical sales
, ideally within critical environments and/or data centre projects.
Solid understanding of heating, ventilating, air conditioning and HVAC systems, with knowledge of equipment control technology an advantage.
Strong negotiation, influencing, and closing skills.
Client-facing, professional, and confident communicator with strong presentation abilities.
Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
A valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Willingness to travel regularly to meet customers and partners across Ireland.
