Job Description – Part-Time Social Care Worker

Coral Care Services is looking for a part-time Social Care Worker to support a young person who receives respite in the community. The role involves spending time with the young person, helping them take part in activities, supporting their independence, and ensuring they are safe and well while in your care. This support may take place in their home, out in the community, and in respite settings.
Main Responsibilities
* Support the young person during respite and help them take part in activities they enjoy.
* Encourage independence, confidence, and social skills.
* Follow the young person's care plan and report any concerns or changes.
* Keep clear and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, or relevant information.
* Work respectfully with the young person, their family, and other professionals.
* Maintain professional boundaries and ensure the young person's safety at all times.
* Follow all safeguarding and child protection policies and procedures.
Requirements
* A social care qualification.
* Experience working with children or young people is an advantage.
* Good communication skills, patience, and a genuine interest in supporting young people.
* Ability to work independently and use good judgement.
* A full driving licence and access to car.
Hours
Part-time hours, which may include evenings or weekends depending on the needs of the young person.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From €18.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 10 per week
