Overview of the roleThis role offers the opportunity to work in a truly multi-disciplinary environment, giving access to a broad knowledge base with the support of experts across the business. It is anticipated that the role will include supporting the delivery of a broad range of environmental and planning work streams, to deliver integrated planning and environmental services across our project pipeline. The successful candidate will support the wider Environment and Planning Team through the (inter alia):Preparation, management, and review of multi-disciplinary planning applications, environmental assessments and planning reports for consent applications e.g. constraints / feasibility studies, specialist studies, environmental reports, planning reportsProject management of planning application and environmental assessment related workstreams including:Input into feasibility studies and consenting strategiesProject tender preparation, evaluation, sub-contractor and project managementCoordination and technical review of planning application documentation, environmental studies and surveysProvide expert advice on planning and environmental requirements relating to proposed development/ projectsPreparation and management of planning and environmental compliance registers from planning permission and other consent related documentationStakeholder management activities (internal and external) including engagement with statutory authoritiesCollaborate and coordinate with other teams across Mott MacDonald to successfully deliver projects in a timely mannerCandidate specificationEssential:Level 8 Town/ Spatial Planning and/or Environmental Science/ Engineering or Ecology Degree related equivalent qualificationMinimum of 5 years' experienceGood report writing and communication skillsExperience contributing to the delivery of statutorily compliant planning application documentation for infrastructure projectsExperience liaising with stakeholders and prescribed bodies (including pre-planning and EIA)Have knowledge, understanding and experience of relevant Irish legislation in relation to planning, policy and guidance and statutory requirements in relation to planning applicationsGood verbal and written communication skillsProven ability to work in a team to a high level of performance
