Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly-motivated professional to act as a fundraiser to secure vital support and to tell the Trust's story in a compelling and inspiring way that promotes our work and builds support for our mission.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- developing and implementing strategies to secure core funding
- engaging donors and building a sustainable financial future for the organisation
- designing communications for stakeholder audiences
- enhancing the public profile of the Trust
- building a community of supporters, sponsors and volunteers.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and execute fundraising strategies to meet financial targets.
Identify, approach, and build relationships with donors, sponsors, grant-making bodies, and corporate partners.
Organise and coordinate fundraising events and campaigns.
Design and deliver compelling communications strategies and messages that convey the importance, value and impact of the Trust's work.
Coordinate the communications, marketing and media activities of the Trust.
Represent the organisation at events, meetings, and public engagements to promote the work of the Trust.
Person Specification:
Essential:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Confidence in interacting with a wide range of stakeholders.
Strong organisational and project management capacities.
Ability to work proactively and independently.
An interest in project development and delivery in collaboration with others.
Desirable:
Knowledge of grant-writing and funding applications.
A sense of the philanthropic landscape in Limerick and Ireland.
Interest in the heritage, arts, community development and/or non-profit sectors.
