HSE West and North West is responsible for the provision of all acute and community services across the 6 counties of Galway, Mayo, Roscommon, Sligo, Leitrim and Donegal and is operationally divided into 4 Integrated Health Areas (IHAs) – Galway/Roscommon IHA, Mayo IHA, Sligo/Leitrim/West Cavan/South Donegal IHA and Donegal IHA, each managed by an Integrated Health Area (IHA) Manager.

Key Working Relationships The Grade VII Housing Co-ordinator will have key working relationships in the fulfilment of the duties and responsibilities of their role with staff from all areas of the Mental Health Services, including but not limited to:
· The Head of Services for the Integrated Health Areas Sligo Leitrim and Donegal
· The Executive Clinical Directors Mental Health Services
· General Managers Community Health Areas
· Clinical Directors,
· Area Director of Nursing and Assistant Directors of Nursing Mental Health Services
· Heads of Discipline
· All Mental Health staff as well as internal and external stakeholders
· Service Users and their supporters
· Local Authorities
Housing and Disability Steering Committees Approved Housing Bodies Housing Agency and other relevant statutory agencies Community and voluntary sector, including HSE funded partner organisations Housing Coordinators Networks Other internal and external stakeholders as appropriate Purpose of the Post The Housing Coordinator will play a key role in supporting the Integrated Health Care Areas Sligo Leitrim and Donegal Mental Health Management Team to progress the transformation of existing services by developing and sustaining strategic housing initiatives.
The post holder will lead and coordinate the work of mental health services across the 2 IHA areas in supporting service users accessing and maintaining appropriate housing, in particular the implementation of the National Strategy for the Housing of People with Disabilities ***********.
