Electrician We are currently seeking an experienced and driven Electrician to join our growing team.
We have an opening for two roles where we require qualified electricians to join our electrical upgrades team.
Experience in the water, wastewater industry and commissioning is beneficial.
Location On site A role based out of our Cork premises covering the Southwest Region A role based out of our Tipperary premises covering the Kilkenny/ Tipperary area Type:Permanent, Full-Time Role PurposeThe role is to support the Operations Division through the delivery of high-quality electrical services.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, and ongoing support of electrical control systems across water and wastewater treatment facilities.
This role plays a critical part in ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of operational infrastructure, particularly through proactive fault detection and timely resolution of electrical issues.
The candidate must have a good working knowledge of VSDs and be able to interrogate, interpret and modify VSD settingsKey Responsibilities Installation of electrical control systems Commissioning and testing of electrical control systems Electrical design and supervision on water and wastewater pumping and treatment installations, including instrumentation and controls Routine electrical maintenance of water and wastewater treatment plant assets with the ability to follow control panel schematics and troubleshoot control panel faults Fault finding and problem resolution in general Supervision and snagging of subcontractors work Understanding and working with PLC-based automation and SCADA systems Completion of daily reports and Health & Safety forms as required for day to day works on sites Candidate Requirements Qualified electrician with a minimum of 2 years post-apprenticeship experience in the water or wastewater treatment industry, or in related fields such as contracting, pumps, instrumentation, automation, and SCADA Strong knowledge of electrical control systems and general electrical fault finding Experience working with pumps, motors, chemical dosing equipment (including pumps and controllers), and control panels Practical working knowledge of PLCs and general automation systems.
