As our Community Project Development Engineer, youll be the steady link between community ambition and practical delivery. Working closely with the Community Solutions Manager, you will help shape how SE Systems supports groups through the full grant application processturning good ideas into funded, achievable projects. Youll also collaborate with Sustainable Energy Communities and contribute to the SE Systems Community Fund, ensuring resources reach those who need them most. This is a dynamic role that requires strong organisation, attention to detail, and proactive communication. You will manage the development and administration for both new and existing clients while balancing multiple priorities with professionalism and care. Role Description: Project Development Liaising with community groups, organising quotes for energy audits, providing information on financial supports available, coordinating with project managers and the grants teams. Organising quotes for projects both internally and externally with subcontractors Identifying energy saving opportunities and measures along with making recommendations on solutions to implement to assist clients meet their objectives and targets Apply engineering and building services knowledge to review energy efficiency issues and analyse, design and develop potential solutions Assist with projects from development stage right through to delivery stage liaising with the various stakeholders Review progress and quality on contractor works to ensure it is done to scope and meets the required standards Grants Coordination Assisting in the preparation of grant application packs for community projects. Providing full administration & technical support to community clients and their grant applications. Working with our communities team to prepare applications for the SEAI Better Energy Communities Scheme. Assisting with data input and reviewing project applications to ensure all the correct documents are on file. Responsible for updating any relevant grant funding documentation for communities grant projects. Preparing internal project schedules and reports for review. Tracking all proposed application projects and application submissions to ensure internal deadlines and SEAI deadlines are met. Supporting sub-contractors and stakeholders to meet tight application deadlines, ensuring that all documentation is completed on time. Review of Targets and Milestones with Senior Management Providing administration support to the SEAI Communities Energy Team. Communicating with clients on the progress of their grant applications.? Researching funding available nationally for not-for-profit organisations. Assisting with Local Authority Tendering Process / Other Project Tenders Community Fund Assisting with the administration of the SE Systems Community Fund. Events Attending Community events on behalf of SE Systems which are run nationally. Marketing Assisting the marketing team by gathering information on completed Community Projects for case studies, videos, social media post and testimonials. What you need to succeed: Meticulous attention to detail with a desire to take initiative and be proactive. Excellent IT skill including advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word and Power Point) and strong knowledge of SharePoint. Ability to manage multiple deadlines while ensuring high levels of professionalism is maintained. Time management and ability to demonstrate resilience in a fast-paced dynamic environment. Results-driven with ability to build strong client relationships. Highly developed interpersonal and communications skills. You will have a professional manner along with a proven record of utmost discretion and confidentiality in all matters relating to work. 2 + Years Experience. Desirable Criteria but not mandatory: Previous experience in grant applications/ tendering/ technical administration/document management. Previous experience in an energy related commercial setting Knowledge of Near Zero Energy Building regulations. Familiarity with SEAI Technical Standards.
