Responsibilities
* Own and manage the product backlog, aligning with business priorities and stakeholder expectations.
* Define and refine user stories with clear acceptance criteria, focusing on business outcomes and customer experience
* Lead requirements definition end to end for complex payment acceptance solutions.
* Collaborate with stakeholders (product, project, operations, compliance) to translate needs into actionable features.
* Operate within an Agile Scrum team, fostering collaboration, continuous improvement, and smooth feature delivery.
* Provide structured communication and stakeholder management, ensuring transparency on progress, risks, and dependencies
* Anticipate post‑production impacts, ensuring readiness for operational support and client adoption.
* Assess cross‑functional impacts and minimize rework by driving clarity and alignment early in the lifecycle.
* Champion end‑to‑end thinking — regulatory, operational, and customer experience requirements included.
Qualifications
* Relevant third‑level qualification or equivalent experience.
* 5+ years in product ownership, business analysis, or similar roles within Payments, POS acquiring, or fintech.
* Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and demonstrable experience in backlog management.
* Proven ability to translate business needs into product features and prioritize effectively.
Experience
* Practical knowledge of business analysis methodologies and awareness of emerging technologies.
* Strong applications/technology understanding, building on specialist domain knowledge in payments/POS/acquiring.
* Hands‑on Agile delivery experience with backlog ownership and iteration planning.
* Familiarity with payment ecosystems, POS terminals, and acquiring processes (advantage).
* Proven ability to assure quality standards by providing guidance and developing procedures related to product quality.
* Experience applying problem‑solving methodologies to diagnose and resolve operational issues.
* Ability to provide technical guidance and resolve BA/requirements queries for junior colleagues.
* Highly proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; experience with project control tools for planning, scheduling, and tracking
