Our client, a global healthcare leader, is seeking to recruit an Operations Supervisor to join their team in Sligo on a permanent contract. This is an evening shift position.
Responsibilities:
As an Operations Supervisor, you will be responsible for ():
1. Work with stakeholders to resolve issues, help with changes in procedures and ramp up line speeds or throughput.
2. Ensure strict compliance with all procedures, regulatory and GMP requirements, quality procedures, including record keeping, inspection standards, product disposition and validation protocols.
3. Maintain a positive employee relations atmosphere, ensuring that there is good communication and co-operation by encouraging knowledge sharing and open exchange of ideas within the Plant.
4. Foster an awareness of Environmental Health & Safety in the plant and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
5. Training and development of employees. Ensure all employees achieve their full potential and develop their skills to meet the current and future needs of the Operations and Supply Chain Department.
6. Manage team effectively through coaching and counselling where appropriate, leading by example at all times.
7. Promote continuous improvement and manage change effectively.
8. Ensure financial performance is maintained at required level with regard to material and labour efficiency.
Supervisory/Management Responsibilities:
9. Supervising the general Manufacturing Operators and Process Service Operators.
10. Leading the operations, moulding and extrusion, warehouse and assembly teams to maximise performance.
Requirements:
11. A relevant third-level qualification.
12. Proven track record in people management.
13. Demonstrated flexible and innovative approach to work.
14. At least three years experience in a supervisory role in a GMP Manufacturing/Pharmaceutical/Regulated industry.
15. Good problem-solving, communication, computer analysis and decision-making skills are required.
16. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
17. Good human relations skills in dealing with all levels of employees.
