They are seeking a Hydraulic Structures Engineer to join an expanding water and flood risk management team in Dublin.ResponsibilitiesDesign and assessment of hydraulic structures (bridges, culverts, outfalls, sluices, headwalls, spillways, etc.)Lead and contribute to the production of drawings, specifications, reports, and tender documentsUndertake structural assessments in accordance with Eurocodes and other relevant standardsSupport hydrological and hydraulic modelling tasks to inform structural designCarry out site inspections and condition surveysEngage with clients, stakeholders, and contractorsProvide technical input to multi-disciplinary project teamsMentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing within the teamRequirementsBachelor\'s or Master’s degree in Civil / Structural Engineering or equivalentMinimum 4+ years’ experience in the design and delivery of hydraulic structuresChartered or working towards Chartership (e.g., with Engineers Ireland or ICE)Strong knowledge of relevant design codes (Eurocodes, CIRIA, NRA/Transport Infrastructure Ireland standards, OPW guidelines)Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., Robot, MIDAS, STAAD, etc.)Excellent report writing, communication, and team-working skillsRight to work in IrelandExperience with flood risk management and drainage projectsFamiliarity with hydraulic modelling tools (HEC-RAS, TUFLOW, InfoWorks ICM)Experience working with public sector clients such as OPW, Irish Water, or local authoritiesProject management or client-facing experience“
