Host/Hostess (Food & Beverage) Opportunity at the 4* Court Yard hotel, Leixlip, Co. Kildare. The Court Yard Hotel is part of the Moriarty Group which is an Irish owned company involved in both the retail grocery and hospitality industries. The company currently comprises of 2 four-star hotels, The Bracken Court Hotel in Balbriggan, and the Court Yard Hotel, in Leixlip, Co. Kildare and 3 Super Valu Stores, situated in Balbriggan, Skerries and Palmerstown, Dublin 20. The company currently employees 550 people across the group. We are currently seeking to recruit an experienced food & beverage Host/Hostess to join our professional and highly skilled in-house team. The Role: This is full-time position working an average of 42.5 hours per week 5 days over 7 to include weekends and public holidays. Main Duties: Assist the Management team with the day-to-day operations of the food & beverage departments. Ambassador for the hotel represent the hotel in a professional manner at all times. Meet and greet all guests to the bar/restaurant areas. Escort all guest to their table or event working in conjunction food & beverage service staff. Management of the reservations system to ensure the efficient management of all reservations and bookings. Confirm all bookings before arrival and ensure correct allocation of all tables in line with guest requests/needs. Monitor service standards during the guests visit/stay. Liaise with service team on any issues/delays to ensure appropriate communications with guests. Ensure guest satisfactions during their visit/stay. Manage/address any customer/guests special requests/queries. Have a hands-on approach to service when needed. Provide supervisory support to the overall food and beverage operation when on duty to support the hotel manager. Requirements: 2-3 years previous experience in as similar role in a busy property is essential. Must have an excellent knowledge of the food & beverage industry. Previous experience using or similar system is essential. Previous experience in a supervisory role is essential. Strong organisational skills are extremely important. Must be fluent in the English Language both written and spoken. Must be able to multi-task and be willing to help where required in all areas of the hotel. HACCP Excellent communications skills. Excellent people/customer care skills. Must be able to work as part of a team and on own initiative. Must be available for early starts, late finishes, weekends, and public holidays.
