Your mission at LINDALYou will be a specialist technical resource for tooling maintenance, responsible for supporting production and troubleshooting activities to optimise the output of the current multi cavity tooling in a high volume, injection moulding environment.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain and promote high standards in health and safety and house-keepingCarry out daily preventative maintenance tasks on a variety of multi cavity injection mould toolingLiaise with Production team in troubleshooting mould problems and quality issuesResponsible for Jigs & Fixture manufacture and maintenanceInspection and measurement of tooling spare partsAdherence to spare part management system and accompanying documentationAttends internal meetings to help establish priorities and assigned tasksPromoting a teamwork culture within the facilityEnsure all relevant documentation is filled out as per company proceduresSupporting tooling transfer processesYour profileToolmaking qualification plus time served with a toolmaker, with experience in a mould maintenance environment.Knowledge of latest mould tool technology.Good understanding of the injection moulding process.Previous experience in the manufacture and/or repair/maintenance of the following mould types would be a distinct advantage: Multi cavity moulds, Hot Runner moulds, Valve gated moulds.Knowledge of Electrics, Hydraulics and Pneumatics would be an advantage.Possess a good understanding and application of lean principles and problem-solving techniques.Ability to use troubleshooting techniques.Knowledge of a wide variety of plastics and mould types.Computer literate e.g. Solid Works, MS Project, Excel, Word and PowerPoint would be an advantage.Personal Skills RequiredThe successful candidate should possess the following character traits:A highly confident team playerExcellent interpersonal skills with the ability to deal with people and situations at all levelsOrganised, highly motivated, enthusiastic, energetic individual with a goal focused attitudeAble to take responsibility and work on one’s own initiativeAn innovative approach to problem solvingA quality focused approach to productionBenefitsWe offer an environment where all employees have the opportunity to develop, supported by the entire management teamPay will be commensurate with industry standards for the role and experience of the successful candidateAdditional benefits include: performance and attendance bonus, pension, flexible holidays, subsidised Gym and Swimming Club Membership
