Overview
DFDS is a market leading, high-volume & complex, fast-moving warehousing & distribution business. This role focuses on executing a range of critical activities to keep operations moving and deliver when it matters most.
You Will Be Responsible For
* Monitoring the number of released orders (cases) in the voice-picking system to ensure continuous workflow and prevent order shortages.
* Using the SAP platform to identify and select orders scheduled for the current planning day, and importing them into the NAVITAS system for review, prioritization, and action planning.
* Providing transport-related updates to customers via the NAVITAS platform, leveraging its workflow automation, scenario planning, variance analysis, and group consolidation capabilities.
* Updating and maintaining order visibility within the Velocity platform, enabling the transport team to access, track, and process orders efficiently through each stage of the workflow.
* Processing return orders such as Zure, Dummy, Uplift, and Short; receiving and updating systems and returning products to the pick face when necessary.
* Processing customer orders and formulating delivery loads.
* Handling customer returns and damage reports.
* Maintaining accurate records of freight, stock location, and movement.
* Liaising with customers and internal transport teams to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
* Allocating warehouse product locations based on product rotation and date requirements.
* Releasing orders to the warehouse management system in line with customer needs.
* Providing up-to-date stock inventory information and management reporting.
* Monitoring and maintaining best-in-class stock control procedures, including returns and quarantine controls.
* Maintaining a suite of KPIs, ensuring service level performance and accuracy exceed 99.5%.
* Supporting Excise duty processes for duty-unpaid stock using Revenue & Customs software (training provided where required).
About You
* Previous experience in Logistics in a similar position is essential.
* Previous experience and understanding of WMS are essential.
* Excellent PC skills with MS Office (Excel, Word). Previous SAP experience (IDoc messaging) is an advantage.
* Previous experience with RF & voice pick technology is an advantage.
* Strong communication and team-building skills.
* Self-motivated and hard-working.
* Excellent organizational and time management skills.
