We are recruiting a Site Agent to join our team on a civils project in Donegal.
Your mission
1. Design review of submissions for earthworks, pavement, road furniture, markings and finishings to ensure it complies with the contract requirements.
2. Prepare method statements, inspection and test plans, and risk assessments.
3. Responsible for the technical development of staff members.
4. Review quality of work on all ongoing works.
5. Ensure compliance with standards and specifications for pavement design and workmanship.
6. Supervision of earthworks, subbase, CBGM, and asphalt pavement construction.
7. Monitor work on an ongoing basis to ensure accurate testing.
8. Review and advise the design team of any modifications needed to the detailed road designs.
9. Propose cost-effective and innovative solutions to problems in road/pavement, roadworks, and finishing works.
10. Prepare estimates and participate in tender reviews as required.
11. Manage and price contract variations, including ongoing variations and improvement works.
12. Prepare and issue price enquiries.
13. Prepare scoping documentation, seek suppliers/subcontractors, obtain quotations, undertake technical evaluations, and make procurement recommendations.
14. Communicate with and attend project progress meetings with the internal site team and clients.
15. Liaise with the Construction/Project Manager, client, and supplier on technical matters as required.
Who are we looking for?
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related engineering field.
2. Experience in supervising, coordinating, and managing earthworks activities.
3. Minimum 5 years of experience in Pavement/Concrete or Asphalt Construction Industry.
4. Familiarity with highway works specifications and contract document preparation.
5. Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
6. Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
7. The ability to lead, manage, and proactively participate in project teams.
8. Hold a valid Driver’s Licence.
