Role Overview
The Day Mechanical Technician will be responsible for training in all processes and techniques across predictive maintenance, CMMS (Pemac), and reliability for fuel oil distribution, industrial gas distribution, turbines, boilers, compressors, diesel generators and pumps.
The position is permanent and based in Clondalkin, Dublin.

Responsibilities
Coordinate the day-to-day work with shift technicians on site, particularly the morning shift changeover.
Serve as the point of contact for service providers.
Conduct trouble-shooting and high-level investigation of utility plant equipment faults and failures, performing root cause analysis.
Document and investigate deviations on utility plant and equipment as part of compliance/quality engineering.
Carry out planned preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance as required.
Ensure preventive maintenance schedules are completed on time.
Maintain good knowledge and understanding of CMMS systems.
Develop PMs, job plans and SOPs for plant equipment.
Liaise with the site planner regarding spare part requirements and review the maintenance programme periodically to achieve optimal uptime.
Support and comply with all safety procedures.
Provide leadership and mentoring to the team in developing the capability to resolve complex plant deviations and failures.
Support the Site Engineer and HV Engineer in root cause analysis of plant failures, developing proposals to remedy faults.
Assist in capital improvement projects on utilities systems and participate in commissioning and hand-over from projects to operations.
Plan and execute complex utility service isolations for maintenance, projects and client works.
Identify, develop and, if approved, implement continuous improvement measures to enhance plant efficiency and working practices.
Seek continuous improvement of knowledge and understanding of complex mechanical systems.
Provide leadership on decision-making regarding plant operation, including taking the plant offline, communicating with relevant personnel and introducing backup and standby systems.
Understand actions required during serious service outages and introduce back-line solutions.
Qualifications & Experience
Analytical mindset.
Experience with Six Sigma/Lean (preferred).
Prior mechanical discipline qualification.
Previous working experience ideally gained in energy conversion and distribution.
Work Authorization
EU/EEA nationals must provide proof of the right to work in Ireland.
Non-EU/EEA nationals must hold current and valid permission to work and reside in the Republic of Ireland.
