The Role:As the successful Tax Consultant, you will report into one of the Head's of Tax and will be responsible for the following duties:Support partners and directors in the smooth operation of the team and assist in securing new workLead the delivery of technical advisory projects across your portfolioManage one-off advisory and compliance assignments as requiredAct as a key point of contact for clients, building strong and trusted relationshipsWork with partnerships and high-net-worth individuals across a range of tax mattersHandle a broad range of capital gains tax issuesProduce high-quality written reports, advice, and technical documentationIdentify opportunities to improve processes and implement changes to enhance team efficiency The Person:The successful Tax Consultant will meet the following criteria:CTA qualified (or equivalent), or able to demonstrate strong and relevant practical experienceStrong technical understanding of core private client tax issues, including anti-avoidance legislationConfident in liaising with HMRC on complex matters on behalf of clientsAble to deliver clear, confident advice in transactional, contentious, or high-pressure situationsExperienced in reporting on the tax implications of incorporation, restructuring, and changes in business statusProven ability in report writing, preparing technical advice, and handling ad hoc queriesExperience in Inheritance Tax planning, including the use of trusts and the tax impact of lifetime transfersSkilled in managing direct tax enquiries, including settlement discussions and penalty negotiations To speak in absolute confidence about this opportunity please send an up to date CV via the link provided or contact Brad Dempster, Specialist Recruitment Consultant at MCS group on 02896935506 or Even if this position is not right for you, we may have others that are.
