Job Description
In Ireland, we offer Before School, After School, and Holiday Clubs programmes tailored to meet the needs of national school‑aged children. Operating on‑site at schools, our customised services feature fun, structured, and engaging daily activities. At Sherpa Kids, we believe our work goes beyond childcare. Our purpose is rooted in supporting and making a positive impact on Ireland's families. We are committed to helping them achieve their goals through the expert care we provide.
Responsibilities
Supervise children during activities and free play
Support the Programme Co‑ordinator
Interact with parents and guardians
Assist with homework and educational tasks
Engage in a variety of planned activities (both indoor and outdoor) with the children each day.
Show lots of energy and enthusiasm to work with children.
Assist with games, crafts, and group activities
Ensure a safe, clean, and inclusive environment
Qualifications
Experience working with school‑aged children (minimum 1 year)
Basic knowledge of child development
Basic computer skills
Some experience in leading a team
Proficiency in English, both verbal and written
Proficiency in Irish, both verbal and written
Garda vetting is essential (completed by us after interview stage)
At least two written reference checks required before starting
Essential – Ability to understand and speak the Irish Language
