About the role
Spencer Recruitment is delighted to partner with our client to appoint a Director of Marketing, Partnerships, Membership and Foundation.
This is a senior leadership opportunity spanning strategic marketing, brand, partnerships, membership growth, foundation activity, media and stakeholder engagement. It is a broad and high-impact role for a commercially minded, purpose-driven leader who can bring together audience growth, profile-building, relationship management and social impact under one joined-up strategy.
You will play a central role in shaping how our client presents itself, grows key relationships, strengthens engagement and delivers impact across a wide range of audiences and stakeholders.
Key responsibilities
Develop and deliver integrated marketing and communications plans aligned to commercial priorities, major projects and wider organisational goals
Lead media relations activity and support the management of reputation, issues and crisis communications where required
Strengthen digital platforms, audience journeys and overall brand experience
Support senior leaders on thought leadership, content and profile-building opportunities
Create strong sales, brand and partnership collateral to support commercial conversations and external engagement
Lead an integrated partnerships approach, ensuring strong activation, stakeholder value and alignment with wider campaigns
Manage key sponsor, commercial and venue relationships
Increase the visibility and impact of foundation activity, working closely with internal leadership and relevant boards
Oversee membership strategy with a focus on recruitment, retention, engagement and revenue growth
Contribute at senior management level to wider planning, alignment and organisational development
About you
Proven senior experience across marketing, communications, brand and stakeholder engagement
Strong commercial instinct, with experience managing partnerships, sponsorship or revenue-generating relationships
Comfortable operating in a visible, multi-stakeholder environment
Strong understanding of digital channels, audience engagement and performance measurement
Ability to balance purpose-led work with commercial priorities
Excellent communication, influencing and leadership skills
Experience across membership, foundation, fundraising, events or audience-led environments would be highly advantageous
