If you're ready to take the next step in your career, apply now and become part of the team!The OpportunityThe Investment Manager is responsible for analyzing the company's investment portfolio, developing and implementing investment strategies, staying informed about market conditions and economic outlooks, and managing the Treasury function alongside the Investment Accountant.This role reports into the Head of Investments & Tax and is critical in ensuring optimal performance of the investment portfolio and supporting the financial stability of the organization.Key ResponsibilitiesInvestment Portfolio Analysis: Conduct thorough analysis of the investment portfolio to identify trends, risks, and opportunities. Evaluate performance metrics and provide insights to optimize returns. Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management, including preparation of Investment Committee and Board papers.Investment Strategy Development:Collaborate with the Head of Investments to develop and implement investment strategies aligned with organizational goals. Monitor and adjust strategies based on market conditions and performance analysis. Provide recommendations for asset allocation and diversificationMarket Conditions and Outlooks: Stay up-to-date with global and local market trends, economic data, and financial news. Analyze market conditions to forecast potential impacts on the investment portfolio. Communicate insights and forecasts to stakeholdersTreasury Function Management: Oversee the management of cash flow, liquidity, and financial risk within the Treasury function, including managing a team of four people. Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations. Work closely with the Investment Accountant to maintain accurate records and reportingCollaboration and Communication: Collaborate with Allianz Global to work on investment strategies and leverage global insights. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align investment strategies with broader business objectives. Communicate complex financial concepts and analyses in a clear and concise manner to non-financial stakeholders. Build and maintain relationships with external financial institutions and advisors.Key Requirements / Skills & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field (Master's degree preferred).Professional certification such as CFA, CPA, or equivalent is highly desirable.Proven experience in investment analysis, portfolio management, and financial strategy development.Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial modelling and quantitative analysis.Excellent understanding of market dynamics, economic indicators, and financial instruments.Previous people management experience is desirable but not required.Effective communication and presentation skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Allianz plc. is regulated by the Central Bank of Ireland.
