About The Role
The Health Care Assistant will:
• Maximise the independence of the resident to achieve the highest possible quality of Life.
Afford every opportunity to the resident to live and die with dignity.
Assist in delivering a high standard of holistic care to residents, promoting their independence and equality at all times
Provide direct resident care by undertaking personal care tasks e.g. assistance with washing, dressing, bathing, eating, toileting
Participate in care planning and alert nurses regarding any changes in the physical and mental state of the residents
Contribute to the moving and treatment of residents to maximise physical comfort
Contribute to maintaining a safe environment for the residents, staff and visitors
Experience in a nursing home environment or relevant experience
Strong written and spoken English
Desirable Criteria: QQI Level 5 in Healthcare Support
