It comprises of a luxury world class Hotel and European Award Winning Spa.
The Heritage also offers guests a number of on-site activities such as our Health Club with Leisure Pool, Jacuzzi, Sauna and Steam rooms, 5km Walking Track and Cinema.
We are now recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Manager to join the team here in the Heritage.
MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB: To ensure overall maintenance of the entire resort, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness at all times.
This role combines technical expertise, team leadership and strong organisational skills.
MAIN DUTIES INCLUDE: O To ensure that the maintenance for our guests, accommodation, spa facilities, public areas, plant rooms and grounds.
O To be responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of machinery across the whole resort.
O To be responsible for prioritising certain maintenance issues.
O To lead and support the maintenance team reporting directly into you.
O To support refurbishment and improvement projects.
O Work closely with hotel departments to minimise disruption to guests.
O Ensure all maintenance issues are being dealt with and up to date.
O To put in place standard operating procedures to ensure overall efficiency of the Maintenance Department.
O To develop and implement policies, procedures and standards for the safe and economical operation, maintenance and repair of all Power Plant, Electrical, plumbing and kitchen equipment.
O To establish and maintain an effective, efficient safety and professional training program.
O To assist in planning, design, document review and approval for all capital and in house projects ensuring maintainability and serviceability.
O To prepare contract specifications and monitor vendor compliance for maintenance and repair work beyond capability of the maintenance person.
O To maintain expenditures following company policy and procedures ensuring they are within budgetary limits.
O Develop and implement policies, procedures and standards for maintaining operation and maintenance records for all equipment.
O Develop and implement policies, procedures and standards for maintaining utility logs and accountability of special tools and test equipment.
O To ensure all portable equipment is stored in a safe and secure manner.
O To maintain constant communication with all departments through-out the resort.
O To be on-call during non working hours or days.
O Be aware of all personnel policies as detailed in the colleague handbook.
O Complete weekly rosters and timesheets for payroll in a timely fashion.
O Responsible for ensuring that Clock In /Clock Out procedures are adhered to on a daily basis.
Ensuring breaks are also recorded and signed for on a daily basis.
O To participate in all training programmes that you are scheduled for.
O Responsible for carrying out duties outside of your department if called upon to do so.
O Secure keys, be fully aware of the key security policy.
O To carry out the resorts customer relation policy.
O Be fully familiar with all Human Resources policies and procedures as set out in the Company Colleague Handbook and to abide by these at all times.
O Responsible for ensuring that all start up documents i.e..
Contract of Employment, Employee Handbook, Job Description and other relevant forms along with legal requirements such as Photo, Passport, GNIB, letter from college etc..
(in the case of international colleagues) are given to the HR Department prior to commencement of position.
O To attend and support resort and departmental meetings as requested.
O To participate in job chats and performance appraisals for your team.
O To work towards achieving high resort inspection results.
O It is agreed that flexibility of employees is fundamental to the resorts ongoing projects.
You will bring: O Experience as a Maintenance Manager, Engineering Manager or Assistant Maintenance Manager within a hotel or large property preferred.
O Strong Technical knowledge across electrical, plumbing, HVAC and general building maintenance.
O Experience working with building management systems.
O Experience managing and scheduling contractors work O Strong organisational and problem solving ability.
O A solid understanding or health and safety and statutory compliance.
O Trade qualification or technical certification is advantageous.
