We have an exciting opportunity for a: Clinical Nurse Manager 3 Overseeing Nursing services across school, respite, residential & day services POSITION AVAILABLE: Specified Purpose Contract (1 year duration) Full-time (37.5 hours per week) You are: A dynamic and energetic team player with excellent leadership skills and management experience. You have: the necessary experience and skills to provide clinical guidance to all the Nurses across St. Catherines services including, St. Catherines special school, adult and child residential houses, respite and day service locations. the ability to work under pressure and handle changing priorities. a proven track record in planning, developing and improving services. a commitment to continually improving the lives of the people we support. We are: St. Catherines Association is a non-profit organisation and registered charity funded by the HSE that provides health related supports to children and young adults with moderate to profound intellectual disabilities and autism in the Wicklow area. These services include Respite and Short Break Support Services, Adult Day Services and Residential Services and access to clinical supports through referral to Childrens Disability Network Team. Job Role: Provide clinical leadership and supervision to the nursing team across all locations of St. Catherines. Directly manage nurses in Special School and manage Nurses in other services on clinical matters. Liaise with and support managers and social care staff in all locations to ensure the best possible health and wellbeing of individuals they support. Develop and review policies, procedures and guidelines which impact and affect the health and wellbeing of those we support in line with HSE and HIQA policy, standards and guidelines. Develop and deliver training for staff based on health-related policies, current guidelines, identified need and best practice. Maintain continuous development, education, training and learning within the Nursing team. Contribute to service development through appropriate continuous education, research initiatives, keeping up to date with nursing literature, recent nursing research and new developments in nursing management, education and practice. Monitor and review the effectiveness, efficiency and quality of services provided through auditing. To develop and maintain effective relationships with families, medical professionals and other agencies. Essential: Registration with NMBI (RNID,RGN or RCN qualification). A minimum of 3 years Clinical Nurse Management experience. A minimum of 5 years post registration experience. A minimum of 3 years experience working in the Disability Sector. Strong communication, leadership and influencing skills. An ability to make clinical judgments and decisions based on current legislation, best practice and individual circumstances as risk assessed. An ability to assess situations and act appropriately and use analytical and problem-solving processes that best meet the needs of the service and those we support. A strong knowledge of the HIQA/New Directions regulations and standards and all relevant legislation. Competent IT and presentation skills. Hold a full clean driving license and have access to a car. Desirable: Train the trainer QQI level 6 or equivalent CNM2 experience in the Intellectual Disability sector A management qualification in Health/Social Care or be in the process of obtaining this qualification.
