To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Junior Electrical Design Engineer located in Dundalk, Ireland.
This role will provide excellent experience in the design and development of electrical switchgear and associated products.
We are looking for a graduate level design engineer with an eye for detail who can work independently and as part of a team.
Good interpersonal and communication skills are a must, as the successful candidate will work with multiple disciplines during the product lifecycle.
Typical Day
Under the direction and mentorship of senior members of the design team, carry out the electrical design of switchgear and other critical power distribution products.
Create general arrangements and electrical schematics using AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical.
Generate accurate bills of materials for purchasing along with other supporting documentation such as work instructions.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of designs and documentation.
Participate in providing technical support to internal and external customers, attending meetings where necessary.
Work actively within the engineering team to help foster a positive and supportive working environment.
Experience we're looking to add
Have a third level qualification in Electrical Engineering or come from a related technical background.
Relevant experience in a switchgear production environment (electrical) will be considered in lieu of a third level qualification.
Have a solid understanding of electricity fundamentals and electrical circuit design.
Be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office tools.
Have a methodical approach to problem solving.
Understanding of electrical engineering drawings such as single line diagrams and schematics is advantageous.
