Lead Care Manager Role
The Lead Care Manager is responsible for ensuring the effective and efficient provision of person-centered services to adults and children in designated centers.
Purpose Of The Position
To ensure the designated center operates in accordance with strategic planning, policies, procedures, guidelines, and safety statement.
* Provide strong leadership in clinical practice and serve as a resource and role model for clinical practice.
* Provide leadership, supervision, and support to nursing and support teams in the provision of clinical and care support services.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and documentation related to individuals supported and staff, ensuring compliance with record-keeping legislation and HIQA requirements.
Main Responsibilities
Contribute to the development and maintenance of nursing standards, protocols, and guidelines consistent with the highest standards of care.
Be accountable for the direction and management of the unit under the overall general direction of the Area Service Manager.
Ensure individuals receive a home-like atmosphere, with their health, recreational, and other needs adequately catered for.
Establish and maintain respectful relationships with individuals based on equality, promoting their independence.
Necessary Qualifications And Skills
A minimum of 3 years in a management or supervisory role in healthcare or social care.
Registered in the relevant division of the Register of Nurses & Midwives maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) or entitled to be so registered.
A relevant management qualification.
Demonstrate evidence of continuous professional development.
Candidates must possess suitable knowledge and ability, including a high standard of suitability and clinical, managerial, and administrative capacity to discharge the functions of the role effectively.
A proven track record of managing a residential service meeting quality, regulatory, and legislative requirements.
Experience in report writing, personal support plans, people, and roster management.
A valid full current driving license with access to your own vehicle.
Excellent IT skills.
An excellent working knowledge of legislative and regulatory requirements and responsibilities.
