Occupational Therapist Role Overview
This is an exceptional opportunity to work in a community setting, delivering high-quality Occupational Therapy services to adults requiring intervention to enhance their functional abilities and quality of life.
Main Responsibilities:
* Deliver best-in-class Occupational Therapy interventions to adults within the Primary Care environment.
* Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualised care plans to promote functional independence in daily living activities.
* Provide intervention in areas such as self-care, mobility, housing adaptations, equipment prescription, and falls prevention strategies.
* Collaborate effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team, including Physiotherapists, Speech and Language Therapists, Public Health Nurses, and GPs.
* Support and mentor junior staff, students, and Occupational Therapy Assistants, ensuring high standards of practice are maintained.
The ideal candidate will possess strong experience in assessment and intervention planning within a community or primary care setting, excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with colleagues and service users, and experience in mentoring and supervising junior staff or students.
