Chef de Partie | Daytime hoursThis is a Chef de Partie position in a busy, well-regarded brunch venue in Maynooth. The role sits within an active kitchen team and reports into the Head Chef. It exists to keep a designated kitchen section running to a consistently high standard across a full week of service, including weekends. The venue is known for fresh, seasonal food and a high-volume daytime service. The group has multiple sites and a clear focus on developing people internally over the long term.The roleThe Chef de Partie will take ownership of a designated section of the kitchen, working alongside the Head Chef and Sous Chef to maintain food quality and service standards across a busy daytime operation. Hours run Monday to Thursday 8:00am-4:00pm and Friday to Sunday 8:00am-5:00pm, approximately 39 hours per week after breaks, with weekends rotated across the team. The process will involve an in‑person interview with the possibility of a practical trial element on the same day, so candidates should be prepared to demonstrate their skills from the outset.What you'll be doingRun and take responsibility for a designated kitchen section throughout servicePrepare, cook, and plate dishes to a consistent, high standardSupport the Head Chef and Sous Chef in the day‑to‑day running of the kitchenUphold HACCP and food safety procedures at all timesAssist in the development of seasonal dishes and specialsMentor and support junior members of the kitchen teamKeep stock levels in check and manage waste activelyContribute to a fast‑moving service environment where pace, precision, and consistency are expected every shiftWhat we're looking forEssentialAt least 2 years of experience in a Chef de Partie or similar kitchen roleSolid understanding of food safety and HACCP requirementsComfortable working at pace in a high‑volume environmentGood communicator with strong organisational habitsAvailable to work weekends and public holidaysDesirableExperience in a brunch‑specific setting within a reputable establishment is strongly preferredCandidates should be comfortable working under pressure and demonstrate a disciplined, professional approach to their section
