Member Services / Loans Officer
Contract Terms: Full-time position, with flexibility to choose working hours between 28 and 35 per week.
The Member Services/Loans Officer will be accountable for carrying out administrative, operational, and lending activities that contribute to the effective running of the credit union and providing quality services to members.
Main Responsibilities:
* Assist members with account management, onboarding new members, and resolving credit control queries.
* Provide a courteous, pleasant, and professional service online, in-office, or over the phone.
* Process loan applications and grant loans to members according to lending policy and procedures.
* Operate within specified limits of authority and work closely with senior lending officers.
* Comply with relevant credit union policies and procedures, including Anti-Money Laundering and Data Protection requirements.
Skill Requirements:
* Experience in frontline roles within financial institutions is preferable.
* Minimum 1 year experience in loans assessment and decision-making.
* Relevant qualifications, such as QFA/APA/CUA, are desirable but not essential.
* Good administration skills and attention to detail are required.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary for success in this role.
