About the Role
Senior Legal Counsel UKI – The Legal Counsel will primarily focus on legal employment and commercial matters in U.K. & India. This role will ensure the company's compliance with local and global regulations, mitigate legal risks, and provide legal support across various business functions.
Responsibilities
* Advise senior management on employment and commercial legal matters.
* Oversee compliance and risk management strategies.
* Guide junior legal professionals and foster team development.
* Represent the company in legal proceedings and regulatory discussions.
* Draft, review, and negotiate high‑value contracts, including vendor agreements, NDAs, customer contracts, and partnership agreements.
* Build and maintain relationships with external counsel, regulators, and key stakeholders.
* Take autonomous decisions while handling escalations and projects, as required.
* Handle complex escalations independently.
Desired Skills & Competencies
* 8+ years of legal experience with a focus on corporate and employment law.
* Proven ability to handle high‑pressure legal negotiations.
* Strong leadership and mentorship capabilities.
* Fluency in English; other languages are a plus.
* Experience in a global or multi‑jurisdictional environment is a plus.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization.
