The apprenticeship is delivered over7 phases– including3 off-the-joband4 on-the-jobphases – to support your development every step of the way.Whether you're just starting out or looking for a new direction, we welcome applicants of all backgrounds and are committed to creating a workplace where everyone feels valued and empowered to succeed.What You'll DoAssist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in Data Centre, Industrial, Commercial & Domestic Environments.Support qualified electricians in tasks such as:Installing wiring, conduit, and lighting systems.Testing and inspecting electrical components.Reading and interpreting electrical drawings and technical diagrams.Adhering to current electrical regulations and health & safety standards (e.g., ET101, Safe Electric guidelines).Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and organized manner.Support network team with IT infrastructure tasks such as:Remote handsServer buildsBackbone installationsFibre cable terminationsAttend and complete required SOLAS off-the-job training phases (in ETBs or Institutes of Technology).Maintain records of work completed, hours, and training progress as required.What You'll NeedMinimum of Leaving Certificate (or equivalent) with passes in 5 subjects including Maths.Pass the "Ishihara" Colour Vision Test 24 Plate EditionStrong interest in electrical systems and willingness to learn.Good hand-eye coordination and problem-solving skills.Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions.Minimum of 18 years old on 1st October 2025What We OfferRegistered apprenticeship under the SOLAS programme.On-the-job training with qualified electricians and supervisors.Support for classroom-based learning phases.Opportunity for a long-term career in the electrical trade upon successful completion.Competitive apprenticeship wages as per the Electrical Contracting JLC rates.Career ProgressionOn completion, apprentices are awarded a QQI Level 6 Advanced Certificate – Craft, enabling you to work as qualified electricians in Ireland and internationally.
