Social Care Professional
\\- An exciting opportunity exists for a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our dynamic team in County Monaghan.\
This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about delivering high-quality care and empowering adults with intellectual disabilities to live meaningful and independent lives.
As a key member of our residential and day support team, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals in their daily lives - from personal care and social integration to skill development and community participation. You'll work closely with a collaborative team to deliver exceptional care that reflects best practices and current standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement person-centred support plans focused on independence, choice, and inclusion
* Assist with daily living activities including personal care, household tasks, and community outings
* Promote health, wellbeing, and social integration for service users
* Accurately maintain records including care plans, incidents, and financial information
* Collaborate effectively with team members, families, and external professionals
* Support individuals in accessing community resources and developing self-advocacy skills
* Ensure compliance with HIQA standards, safeguarding protocols, and health and safety guidelines
Essential Qualifications and Skills:
* QQI Level 5 Major Award in Community / Healthcare / Social Care (or equivalent)
* Minimum 1 year's experience working with adults with intellectual disabilities
* Strong understanding of person-centred care and rights-based approaches
* Knowledge of HIQA regulations, safeguarding, and positive behaviour support
* Full clean driver's licence and willingness to drive service vehicles
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
* Flexibility to work varied shifts including evenings, weekends, and sleepovers
