We are a quality focused company using cutting edge technology and pioneering innovation.We are currently recruiting for a Trainer to join our team.This is a full-time on-site role based in Thurles.The Company Trainer plays a vital role in ensuring that all staff, particularly new starters are trained, supported, and compliant with food safety, hygiene, personnel safety, and operational standards in our facility.This role delivers onboarding, hands-on job training, health & safety education, and ongoing refresher sessions to promote a safe, skilled, and efficient workforce.The Company Trainer will be responsible for delivering initial induction, health & safety training, job-specific training on the production floor, and supporting new starters during their early weeks of employment.The company trainers' roles is to be a dynamic and engaging individual who will deliver high-quality training for new and existing employees.The ideal candidate will have a passion for learning, strong presentation skills, and the ability to adapt training methods to diverse audiences.New Starter InductionDeliver structured inductions to new employees covering health & safety, chemical safety, hygiene, factory rules, manual handling, PPE use, and company policies.Conduct site tours and ensure new starters understand operational areas and key contacts.Ensure PPE, Lockers are issued and understood.Act as the main point of contact for new starters during their initial weeks.Evaluation & ReportingMonitor and evaluate training effectiveness using feedback, assessments, and performance data.Prepare reports as required for HR, H&S and Senior Management.Compliance & SafetyDeliver mandatory training on food safety, manual handling, chemical safety, allergen awareness, and safe working practices.On-the-Job TrainingTrain new employees on specific tasks and equipment relevant to their roles (e.g., knife handling, machinery operation, portioning, packing).Train employees on New and Existing SOP'sMonitor progress and competence of new starters, escalating concerns where necessary.Conduct tool box talks sessions as required.Training Records & ReportingProvide weekly/monthly reports on training progress, completion, and gaps.Continuous SupportCoaching employees for non-compliances.Identify and recommend training improvements to support employee retention and engagement.Liaise with supervisors and line managers to identify underperformance and provide refresher training as needed.Attend new starter review meetings with management team and input feedback on individuals.Key Skills & CompetenciesPatience and approachabilityPractical and hands-on training styleHigh attention to detailStrong interpersonal and listening skillsOrganised and proactiveSkills:Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skillsStrong presentation and public speaking abilitiesProficient in MicrosoftAbility to design engaging training contentOrganisational and time management skillsAnalytical thinking and problem solving abilityAdaptability to different learning styles and cultural backgroundsThis role is Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm with some flexibility required.Job Type: Full-timeWork Location: In person
