Job Overview
The Quality/Environmental Manager is responsible for overseeing and enhancing existing Quality and Environmental systems. This includes managing ISO 9001 Quality, 14001 Environmental, 45001 Safety, 50001 Energy Management, and working towards achieving 55001 Asset Management standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Maintaining the Integrated Management System (IMS) to ensure seamless operations
2. Collaborating with the Safety Manager and other departments to guarantee processes are functioning as intended
3. Managing current and future ISO standard implementations
4. Broadening system capabilities, such as achieving 55001 Asset Management and Carbon Ladder Certification
5. Preparing and submitting monthly reports to stakeholders
6. Overseeing data-gathering processes for report preparation
7. Preparing yearly reports
8. Controlling data storage, correspondence, and documentation
9. Initiating safety, quality, and design documentation for activities and submitting it to clients under certification
10. Reviewing plans, procedures, RAMs etc when required
11. Ensuring management reviews are conducted at regular intervals and objectives, targets, and risks are measured and updated annually
12. Developing performance measurement tools for projects and processes
13. Preparing quality submissions for clients prior to construction or renewal projects
14. Developing testing protocols with subcontractors
15. Monitoring testing and inspection of works
16. Managing production of testing and inspection data for supplying to clients and for as-built documentation
17. Ensuring all operations are carried out in line with our own and legislative environmental requirements
18. Maintaining and adapting energy and carbon use recording processes
19. Producing year-end Energy Management Report
20. Managing maintenance of all waste records
21. Setting up sub-waste management plans for larger projects
22. Working with the Sustainability Champion to develop and implement various projects to further our carbon and biodiversity goals.
