Are you an experienced HR leader with a passion for driving people strategy in a fast-paced, unionised manufacturing environment? We're looking for a Head of HR to take ownership of the HR function and lead a high-performing team to deliver excellence across all areas of the employee experience.
The Role
Head of HR - Strategic Leadership Role
Location: Cork/Longford
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:30pm
Type: Full-time, Office-Based (Travel will be required)
As Head of HR, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the organisation's culture, performance, and growth. You will manage a dedicated team of two HR Managers and a team of HR Assistants, providing direction, coaching, and support to ensure excellence across all areas of HR.
Responsibilities
* Lead and deliver the company's HR strategy, aligned with business objectives.
* Oversee employee relations, industrial relations, and union negotiations.
* Manage and mentor a team of HR professionals.
* Partner with senior leadership on talent development, workforce planning, and succession.
* Oversee learning and development initiatives to build capability across the organisation.
* Lead salary and benefits negotiations in line with company policy and market trends.
* Ensure compliance with employment legislation and best practice HR policies.
* Drive employee engagement and continuous improvement initiatives.

* Extensive experience in a senior HR role within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
* Proven track record in industrial relations and collaborating with trade unions.
* Confident leader with experience managing and developing a multi-tiered HR team.
* Demonstrated success in learning and development, organisational design, and change management.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
* Hands-on leadership style with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
* Confident operating at both strategic and operational levels.
