We are looking for an Activities Co-ordinator to create and deliver a fun, varied, and meaningful activities programme for our residents.
The role involves planning activities, supporting residents to take part, and working with staff and external visitors to make sure the programme runs smoothly.
Main Responsibilities Plan and organise daily activities that suit the interests, abilities, and needs of residents.
Run group sessions and one-to-one activities (e.g., music, crafts, light exercise, reminiscence, sensory activities).
Adapt activities for residents with dementia, mobility needs, or sensory impairments.
Coordinate external activity providers, entertainers, volunteers, and family involvement.
Work closely with the care team to ensure activities support each resident's care plan.
Keep records of attendance, engagement, and resident preferences.
Ensure activities follow health safety, safeguarding, and infection control guidelines.
Skills Experience Experience working with older people is an advantage.
Creativity and confidence delivering activities.
Friendly, patient, and able to encourage participation.
Good communication and organisational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
