Security Incident Response Engineer
At Amazon, security is a top priority. As a Security Incident Response Engineer, you will play a critical role in leading the response to security issues across our global infrastructure.
This position requires someone who can thrive in dynamic and ambiguous situations, thinking like both an attacker and defender throughout the incident response lifecycle.
You will work in a collaborative environment where clear and accurate communication on security issues is essential.
The successful candidate will conduct security monitoring and response activities for our internal network, applying creative and critical problem-solving skills to design and build tooling that enables programmatic automation at scale.
A key aspect of this role is recognizing and filling gaps in capabilities, and having a passion for engineering solutions to complex security challenges.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead security incident responses across our global infrastructure
* Design and build tooling for programmatic automation at scale
* Conduct security monitoring and response activities for our internal network
* Apply creative and critical problem-solving skills to address complex security challenges
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent field
* Demonstrated experience with systems, network, and/or application security (3+ years)
* 2+ years of experience on a Security team, especially coordinating responses to security incidents
* Proficiency in one high-level programming or scripting language
Preferred Qualifications
* 3+ years of experience working in security response, security automation tooling, or threat intelligence
* Familiarity with malware analysis, forensics, SOAR, SIEM platforms, and various Operating Systems (MS Windows, Linux, MacOS)
* Experience with Amazon Web Services
