We are seeking a skilled and ambitious individual to join our Air Quality and Licensing team. This role involves delivering air quality and odour assessments, including air and odour dispersion modelling and air/ odour/ dust assessments for Environmental Impact Assessments. It also involves working on other aspects of projects, particularly climate change assessments. The role will be on a team working on impactful environmental projects that shape a sustainable future.
This is a full-time, hybrid role based in any of our offices (Dublin, Cork and Tullamore). The work will be mostly office-based; however, occasional site visits will be required. A full driving licence is required.

Role Responsibilities
* Carry out air and odour dispersion modelling using AERMOD.
* Prepare air, odour and climate change chapters of Environmental Impact Assessments.
* Work on various aspects of Industrial Emissions and Air Pollution Licences, including applications for new licences, Technical Amendments, compliance management, etc.
* Provide clients and multidisciplinary teams with strategic advice and innovative solutions regarding stack emissions.
* Stay current with legislation, methodologies, and trends in air quality and odour assessment. Update template documents with relevant new AQS and similar.
* Learn new methodologies for assessment where required, prepare templates and train relevant team members
* Ensure use of appropriate modelling tools and resources for dispersion modelling
* Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure project success
* Support project budgeting, proposal development, and financial performance tracking
* Contribute to internal training, mentoring, and continuous professional development
Required experience and qualifications:
* Degree in Environmental Science or a similar relevant degree, or related field
* Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in an environmental consultancy
* Air dispersion modelling using AERMOD – minimum 2 years of professional experience
* Excellent understanding of air quality principles and regulatory frameworks, such as;
CAFÉ Directive;
Medium Combustion Plant Directive
BAT ELVs for emissions to air for various industries
The EPA's AG series Guidance
* Experience with EIARs or licensing processes
* Competence in compiling comprehensive technical reports and delivering high-quality findings and recommendations
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly in technical report writing
* Full Irish driving licence and eligibility to work in Ireland
* Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Word, Teams, Excel, SharePoint)
Desired experience and qualifications:
* Master's degree in Environmental Science or a similar or related discipline
* Membership of a Professional Organisation.
* Project financial management .
* People management and mentoring experience.

* GHG Emissions assessment;
* Understanding of National and EU Climate Change Legislation.

* Equally comfortable with desk-based work, such as analysis, research, and report writing, as with fieldwork and surveying.
