The facility has a track record of 30 years of outstanding operational performance and customer service, backed by a highly experienced workforce.Requisition ID:111243-0Job Title:Warehouse Manager / LeadDepartment:MaterialsReporting To:Director of MaterialsDirect Reports:YesObjectives of PositionManaging the daily activities of the Stockroom, Receiving and Shipping functions to achieve customer delivery expectations and support the Company’s inventory control policies.ResponsibilitiesManaging operations: Overseeing day‑to‑day warehouse operations, measuring and reporting on warehousing effectiveness and employee performance.Inventory management: Maintaining inventory levels, ensuring timely dispatch and receipt of goods, organizing and maintaining storage areas, ensuring accuracy of inventory transactions for incoming and outbound shipments, and completing cycle count processes for all store stock.Safety: Maintaining a safe working environment, adhering to Health, Safety and Environmental procedures, and ensuring team compliance.Training and supervision: Training, supervising and evaluating warehouse employees.Workload distribution: Assigning workloads to employees to ensure efficient task completion.Coordination: Coordinating with other departments to streamline warehouse activities and improve efficiency.Communication: Maintaining communications with carriers, suppliers, warehouses and customs brokers.Logistics: Identifying and planning improvements to logistics processes.Continuous improvement: Identifying areas of improvement and establishing innovative or adjusted work procedures and practices.Quality: Assuring ongoing compliance with quality and industry regulatory requirements.Health & Safety: Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety legislation and regulations.MeasurementsMetrics will be tracked against plant performance indicators and MBOs as per the annual appraisal process.Qualifications and ExperienceCompletion of professional examinations such as IPICS or IIPMM.Previous experience in a similar role.Strong leadership and supervisory skills with experience managing people to achieve results.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Proficiency with data entry, inventory software and systems.Computer literacy with emphasis on Excel and web‑based systems (e.g., Oracle & Warehouse Management System).Knowledgeable in materials movement and management.Core CompetenciesAbility to anticipate and solve problems, and to direct and coordinate operations.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Ability to meet deadlines.Hands‑on commitment to getting the job done.
