Engineering Director Role
This is a leadership position that oversees the engineering team responsible for managing complex product lines or processes at a manufacturing site. The primary purpose of this role is to provide technical leadership and set standards of practice for all engineering functions.
* The Engineering Director will be accountable for delivering Key Performance Goals/Targets established by the organization.
* They will serve as an integral member of the Site's Leadership Team, contributing to the development of the Site's Strategies and annual goals and objectives from which their Key Performance Goals/Targets are derived.
* The Engineering Director will lead their direct reports, including engineering managers and senior-level engineering professionals.
Responsibilities:
1. Assume responsibility for all engineering and technical activities across a complex, multi-product line manufacturing site and accept accountability for delivering the Key Performance Goals/Targets established.
2. Serve as an integral member of the Site's Leadership Team and contribute to the development of the Site's Strategies and annual goals and objectives from which your Key Performance Goals/Targets are derived.
3. Lead your direct reports, including any combination of engineering managers and senior-level engineering professionals.
4. Ensure compliance to the established Quality Management System and Environmental, Health, Safety, and Security protocols.
Requirements:
* A minimum of 15 years of experience in engineering and/or technical support roles, with at least 10 years in technical management positions.
* A bachelor's degree or master's degree in an engineering or related technical discipline.
* Accomplished track record in production environments where you owned the responsibilities for delivering results.
* First-hand experiences managing teams responsible for implementing and sustaining Manufacturing Excellence and Lean practices.
* Demonstrated experiences with strategic and direct management of engineering or technical teams in fast-paced and complex manufacturing environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Master's degree in an engineering or related technical discipline.
* Green Belt or equivalent certification.
* Formal training in problem-solving analysis, root cause analysis, and project management.
* Core leadership skills.
