The role of a Health and Safety Advisor is a challenging yet rewarding opportunity to make a significant impact on workplace safety and employee well-being.
* Key Responsibilities:
* Complete scheduled compliance audits to verify health and safety controls are implemented and effective.
* Prepare for and attend monthly operations meetings to discuss and implement operational insights for effective risk assessment.
* Collaborate with the ROI health and safety advisor to implement and enforce Group compliance objectives, promoting a culture of safety across the organization.
* Communicate health and safety responsibilities via toolbox talks and training to support risk reduction and enhance overall workplace safety.
Requirements:
* At least 3 years of experience in Health and Safety, preferably as an HSE Health Safety and Environmental Officer or similar.
* Maintain accident, near-miss, and spill reporting databases, ensuring accurate and timely incident reporting.
* Assist the Compliance and Sustainability Manager in implementing an enhanced health and safety management system, driving continuous improvement and excellence in workplace safety.
Preferred Skills:
* Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and regulations.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.
* Able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
