We currently have an opening for a Facilities Manager to join a successful and growing business. This role involves managing the delivery of a residential service contract across a large, active campus. You will lead a diverse and skilled maintenance team, coordinate with third-party contractors, and liaise daily with senior client representatives.
Reporting to: Contracts Manager
Direct Reports: Between 7 to 14 technicians (qualified technicians and apprentices)
Location: South Dublin
Roles & Responsibilities:
* Lead and motivate a multi-disciplinary maintenance team, including managing performance and supporting team development of both direct employees and contractors.
* Promote a culture of continuous improvement with a focus on service quality, safety, and efficiency.
* Ensure all campus buildings, systems, and equipment are maintained in line with contractual obligations and KPIs.
* Act as the primary technical advisor for planned and reactive maintenance works ensuring that all services provided meet client and legal requirements.
* Build strong, collaborative relationships with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure effective communication and seamless service delivery.
* Ensure client quality standards are maintained.
* Address and resolve non-conformances proactively; lead on-site audits and inspections.
* Compile professional reports and deliver clear updates to management and client stakeholders.
* Maintain a proactive approach to planned and reactive maintenance and execution, ensuring work is completed on time and within required targets.
* Ensure accurate use of digital tools for asset management, reporting, and communication.
Experience Required:
* At least three years’ experience in the management of construction, hard facilities maintenance of buildings or in the installation or maintenance of the mechanical, electrical, and heating services of such buildings.
* Degree in Facilities Management is a distinct advantage but not a requirement.
* Proven ability to manage and lead complex, mixed-experience teams.
* Demonstrated leadership in high-pressure environments with multiple stakeholders.
* Strong customer service orientation, with a passion for delivering operational excellence.
* Digitally literate – proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, MS Project, Business Management and CAFM systems.
* Strong reporting and communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage technical and non-technical audiences.
* Highly organised, solution-focused and resilient in fast-paced, high-demand settings.
* Commercial awareness and understanding of budget management principles.
* Flexibility with working hours to manage peak seasonal times.
* Experience in Asset care and reliability would be beneficial, as would commercial awareness and financial management.
* Current valid driving license preferred.
