The OpportunityAs part of our continuing and ongoing expansion in Ireland, we currently have an exciting opportunity for a talented, experienced Property Claims Handler to join our team based at our Cork Office.
Reporting to the Head of Property you will be responsible for handling a portfolio of commercial property desktop claims from investigation to settlement, ensuring company standards are met in relation to all technical and operational policies and procedures, including data protection and information security.
The RoleYour responsibilities will include:Investigating, negotiating, determining the outcome and agreeing settlement of claims in a professional manner by completing desktop investigations to possibly also include utilisation of our remote video survey app.Assisting and liaising with policyholders, their representatives, insurers and brokers to achieve professional and timely conclusion of claimsCompleting on desktop investigations and damage surveys for claimsProducing reports in compliance with professional standards and internal guidelines in accordance with agreed timescalesActively contribute towards McLarens' business development programmeEnsuring time reporting and billing is compliant with internal standards, processing and systemsUndertaking projects and other ad hoc activities as required, to include participation in marketing activities on occasionYou will be expected to inspect, report upon, process and progress claims of small and medium value in a timely, customer focused manner, in accordance with existing client and internal sla's, and your level of experience should demonstrate such strengths and capabilityKnowledge and ExperienceSuccessful candidates will have gained significant experience in the Property claims sector, or in allied professions, demonstrating a focus on quality, communication and organisational skills in a customer-focused environment.
They will have proven capability in negotiation, decision making, problem-solving and reporting skills.
An ability to develop strong relationships both internally and externally is imperative.
Successful candidates must hold CIP at a minimum or be working towards professional qualifications, preferably CILA, ACII or MDI.
Candidates will also be required to successfully complete all related Fitness and Probity and CPD requirements.
