We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Technician to ensure the efficient operation and repair of plant equipment in our facility, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum productivity.
Responsibilities:
1. Perform proactive maintenance to minimize equipment downtime and extend its lifespan.
2. Conduct scheduled maintenance routines to guarantee smooth operations.
3. Diagnose and resolve equipment issues efficiently by performing electrical and mechanical troubleshooting.
4. Carry out electro-mechanical repairs on PLC-controlled systems, handling and packaging equipment, pneumatic and hydraulic components, and control systems.
5. Provide maintenance support to the Production Team to help achieve production targets.
6. Maintain a cost-effective mindset, ensuring effective use of resources and minimizing waste.
7. Collaborate with equipment suppliers for new installations, modifications, and upgrades.
8. Maintain workshops and tools in an organized and functional state.
9. Perform other maintenance-related tasks as required to support evolving business needs.
Requirements:
10. Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems in an industrial setting.
11. Knowledge of PLC-controlled equipment, including troubleshooting and basic programming.
12. Familiarity with pneumatics, hydraulics, and automation systems.
13. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
14. Understanding of preventive and predictive maintenance strategies.
15. Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
16. Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience in an industrial or manufacturing maintenance role.
17. Experience working with high-speed production lines, conveyors, packaging equipment, or automated systems.
Qualifications/Certificates:
* Technical diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent field).
* Apprenticeship certification in mechanical or electrical trades is an advantage.
* PLC programming and troubleshooting certification (preferred but not mandatory).
* Health & Safety certification (such as Manual Handling, Working at Heights, Electrical Safety, etc.).
