Primary Function / Goals / Objectives

Follow all Health and Safety Rules and Regulations in the plant.

Report any current or potential hazards to your immediate supervisor/dept. manager immediately.

The correct Personal Protective Equipment (P.P.E.) must be worn at all times. Safety glasses, safety shoes and gloves are appropriate.

He/she is responsible for consulting any SOPs for any job task he/she may carry out and ensuring they are fully understood and adhered to.

An Engineering professional applies scientific knowledge, engineering knowledge, mathematics, and ingenuity to complete assignments related to maintenance excellence and reliability.

This position involves the overall lifecycle management of capital assets, including designing, delivering, operating, maintaining, and decommissioning, in the most productive and cost-effective manner.

The role manages preventive and predictive maintenance programs, supports maintenance budgets, coordinates plant shutdowns, provides input on capital projects, and oversees maintenance resources to meet or exceed production plans while maintaining safety and quality standards.

The Process Maintenance Manager oversees all maintenance operations, from routine inspections to emergency repairs, ensuring machinery is in top condition to prevent costly downtime and ensure product quality.

Senior leaders rely on you to ensure engineering functions run smoothly, on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality and safety standards. Promoting a culture of safety and efficiency, you will drive improvements that add value to the site.

Effective people management is essential. Lead your team, support company values, empower continuous improvement, and collaborate across functions. Maintain proactive communication across all levels.

Major Responsibilities:

* Hold yourself and others accountable for results.
* Identify and develop team members for future roles.
* Drive compliance with safety and quality regulations.
* Lead Lean, Continuous Improvement, and Optimization initiatives using lean tools like A3 problem solving.
* Ensure timely completion of engineering schedules.
* Minimize downtime and meet targets.
* Ensure process equipment is fit for purpose and plan for obsolescence and asset changeout.
* Coordinate preventive maintenance with production.
* Manage spare parts inventory and achieve operational excellence objectives.
* Achieve cost savings and escalate obstacles.
* Provide technical leadership to manufacturing operations.
* Analyze maintenance and performance data, report findings, and recommend actions.
* Deploy predictive and reliability-centered maintenance strategies.
* Monitor equipment performance, failure analysis, and changeovers.
* Identify patterns, analyze problems, and recommend solutions from multiple perspectives.
* Implement process improvements and cost reductions.
* Build relationships across levels using diplomacy and interpersonal skills.
* Additional responsibilities may include developing procedures, directing efforts of technicians, providing training, and supervising maintenance resources.

Education Required:

* Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent.

Knowledge

* Minimum of 10 years relevant engineering experience.
* Preference for electrical background with industrial systems knowledge.
* Experience in automated manufacturing and food processing equipment.
* Ability to organize, motivate, and understand people.
* Minimum 3 years managing a team.
* Experience in Dairy/Food Process Engineering or with evaporators and spray dryers preferred.
* Ability to multi-task in a high-paced environment.
* Organized, resourceful, with attention to detail.
* Proven problem-solving and data analysis skills.
