Key duties include but are not limited to: Assist with menu planning and menu costing to ensure that the budgeted gross profit margin is achieved whilst minimizing waste To assist with food orders in line with company purchasing policy, ensuring that only suppliers from the approved list are used To ensure the highest standards in stock control, portion control and quality control Ensure that food and hygiene standards are maintained to the highest practice Ensure proper purchasing, receiving and food storage standards in the kitchen Assist with stock taking as appropriate Leading the performance of the team to deliver the highest of food standards Ensure that food prepared is innovative, and seasonal Ensuring effective communication with the working teams and to be prepared to work in areas other than your own when required To deal with complaints in an appropriate manner and escalate problems as appropriate Ideal candidates should: 1-2 years proven track record in a professional kitchen or catering kitchen environment Food Safety Level 2 or Chef Qualification A passion for food and service Excellent communication skills Ability to work in a team environment Ability to work under pressure Have a high degree of knowledge in Food Hygiene Previous experience in allergens would be an advantage Focus on client and customer service Have strong organisational and time management skills with a high degree of flexibility Be commercially focused Be a self-motivator and is ready to challenge in the interest of continuous improvement If you have the requirements and skill set please contact us and we will welcome the opptunity to chat to you!
