Senior Finance Manager dnata Catering Ireland Job Purpose The Senior Finance Manager provides end-to-end financial leadership for dnata Catering Ireland, ensuring robust financial governance, accurate reporting, and strong commercial insight to support operational and strategic decision-making. The role manages a small finance team and partners closely with senior stakeholders to drive financial performance, continuous improvement, and organisational growth. Key Responsibilities Financial Leadership & Governance Lead the day-to-day financial operations of dnata Catering Ireland in alignment with global dnata financial policies and compliance requirements. Ensure timely and accurate completion of month-end closing processes, including preparation of P&L statements and review of balance sheet reconciliations. Own the preparation and finalisation of annual statutory accounts and lead year-end audit activities. Manage the preparation of weekly and monthly KPI reports covering Sales, COGS, Labour, Waste, Production, Inventory, Assets, Overheads and operational efficiencies. Financial Planning, Reporting & Analysis Lead the full budgeting and forecasting cycle, ensuring transparency, accuracy, and alignment with business plans. Provide clear variance analysis and actionable commentary on deviations from budget and prior periods. Produce monthly financial summary reports for both internal management and external customers. Develop and implement new reporting tools to enhance business insight and performance visibility. Commercial & Operational Partnership Work proactively with the Finance Director, Commercial Manager, Operations Director and wider management teams to support decision-making, profitability analysis, and operational improvements. Provide financial expertise for customer-facing engagements when required. Identify opportunities to strengthen financial processes, controls, and reconciliation activities, partnering across the business to implement agreed changes. Team Leadership & Development Manage, coach, and develop the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams across Ireland. Foster a high-performance culture, ensuring workloads are prioritised effectively and team members have clear development pathways. Promote professional standards, continuous learning, and a culture of accuracy, integrity, and accountability. Key Performance Indicators Delivery of accurate and timely weekly and monthly financial and KPI reporting. Quality, accuracy, and timeliness of financial statements and audit outputs. Effectiveness and reliability of budgeting and forecasting processes. Quality of insights provided to senior management and customers. Team performance, capability development, and service delivery standards. Implementation and impact of financial process improvements. Role-Specific Competencies Technical & Professional Expertise Fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA). Minimum 5+ years experience in business analysis, financial management, or similar roles. Advanced technical accounting knowledge and strong commercial awareness. Highly proficient in Excel and financial reporting systems. Management & Leadership Demonstrated experience managing small teams and developing capability. Strong organisational, prioritisation, and time-management skills. Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgement, and handle sensitive or challenging situations with professionalism and diplomacy. Interpersonal & Communication Skills Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills across all organisational levels. Ability to present financial information clearly and effectively to both financial and non-financial audiences. Strong problem-solving, analytical thinking, and decision-making capability. Industry Knowledge (Desirable) Experience in logistics, supply chain, retail or catering sectors. Understanding of high-volume, high-value operational environments.
